Anantnag, June 09: Aroot Madni, son of former MLA Devsar and Senior PDP leader Sartaj Madni, has tragically passed away at the Government Medical College Anantnag due to a sudden cardiac arrest, reports said.
Aroot Madni was also the maternal cousin of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti. His unexpected demise has sent shockwaves through the political community and his family.
The Nimaz Jinaza (funeral prayer) will be held at 1 PM. His passing is a significant loss for the Madni family and the PDP, given his close connections and familial ties within the party.

The family and the PDP community are in mourning, and condolences have poured in from across the political spectrum.
Meanwhile, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on her official X handle said, “Pains me to write this. We lost Aroot Madni – Sartaj sahab’s son who passed away due to a heart attack earlier today. No words can suffice for how we all feel. We raised him like a son & will miss him terribly. This aching void can never be filled.”
