Srinagar, May 27: A youth drowned to death in river Jhelum in Sumbal area of North Kashmir Bandipora district this afternoon.
Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a youth identified as Mohammad Ashraf Wani (20) son of Mohammad Yousuf wani resident of Inderkote Sumbal drowned in river Jhelum at Rakhi Asham while bathing.
They said that soon after the incident, the rescue operation was started but didn’t get any success and later his body was fished out.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident.
