Unknown gunmen suspected to be militants fired upon a policeman in Bemina area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday evening.
Quoting reliable sources news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that militants fired upon one police man identified as Hafiz Ahmad son of Ghulam Hassan Chat of Mathiya Bund Hamdania colony Bemina, leaving him in injured condition.

They said, he has been shifted to JVC hospital for treatment, where his condition is said to be stable.
Whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police on X informed, “#Terrorists fired upon & injured one police personnel namely Mohammad Hafiz Chad S/O Gh Hassan Chad R/O #Bemina at Hamdaniya colony Bemina. He has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Area #cordoned off. Further details shall follow.”
