Family members of woman told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that she was taken to sub-district hospital Pampore in an unconscious state, where she was declared dead on arrival.

Soon after her death, her family members held a protest and allegedly she has been murdered by her in-laws.

They alleged she had marks on her neck and demanded the matter be investigated by the police.

Meanwhile, her husband said no one from his family was at home when she had fallen unconscious and he too was out of his home.

A team of officials has, however, rushed to the spot to pacify protestors.

Meanwhile, a police official said they have taken cognisance of the incident and inquest proceedings have been initiated.
