Addressing a presser here, Gilkar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the independent group of corporators have made all the arrangements and will submit the No Confidence Motion against the Mayor in two days.

“There is an adequate number with us and the NCM will be submitted in next two days,” he said, adding that the corporators are being blackmailed by one way or the other, which will also be exposed shortly.

He also lashed out at Apni Party President Syed Altaf Bukhari for what he said ignoring Srinagar district. “Mayor, District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, his Deputy Block Development Council Chairman belong to Apni Party. One fails to understand what Altaf Sahab has done for the people of Srinagar so far as indirectly or directly, it is his party, who are ruling in Srinagar district in both urban and rural areas,” he said.
