70019 street lights installed by SMC across city, people having complaints about defunct street lights can contact on phone

The people from several areas here have complained of the defunct street lights in their locality while the corporation has asked people to contact the provided mobile phone number in case of any complaint about the non-operational street lights.

According to the data available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the SMC has installed over 70 thousand street lights across 74 wards of the City.

“A total of 70019 street lights have been installed by SMC so far in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of the corporation,” the data reads.

The corporators here have said the people having any complaint about the defunct street lights should contact on 6006404919. “There is no need to visit the corporation office to get the street lights repaired. The people can contact on the phone number to register their complaint and the issue would be resolved within the shortest possible time,” the corporator said.
