Ganderbal, Oct 21: A minor girl died while her father was injured in a road accident at Naitang area in Lar Ganderbal in Central Kashmir on Friday.
Quoting an official, the news agency—KNO that a Scooty bearing registration number JK05J-0306 was hit by a Tata mobile.
The Scooty rider, Firdous Ahmad Magray aged about 30/32 years, son of Gh Mohd Magray of Lar and his daughter Zahida Firdous aged about 7/8 years were injured in the accident rushed to the District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment where doctors declared the minor girl brought dead.
The officials said that her father was referred to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for specialized treatment.
However, the Tata mobile driver fled from the spot along with the vehicle, the official said.
Police has registered a case in this regard and a manhunt has been launched to nab the driver, who fled away from the spot, a police official said.
