Srinagar, Oct 09: A gunfight has started between security forces and militants in Tangpawa area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday night.
Reports reaching The Asian News Hub said that Joint team of security forces launched a Cordon-and-Search operation after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area.
They said as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering an encounter.
“Encounter has started at Tangpawa area of #Anantnag. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
