Husband-wife duo drug peddlers arrested in Srinagar

Srinagar, Sept 30: Srinagar Police on Friday said to have arrested husband-wife drug peddlers and recovered Charas from their possession in Srinagar.

They said that drug peddlers identified as Javeed Ahmad Wani & his wife Lally Jan of Gassu Hazratbal were arrested with 420 grams of charas.

Case FIR number 136/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Nigeen and investigation taken up,” they said adding Vehicle has been siezed as well.

Both are notorious drug peddlers & brother of this lady is already detained in PSA for same.

In a tweet Srinagar Police informed that, “Drug peddlers namely Javeed Ahmad Wani & his wife Lally Jan of Gassu Hazratbal arrested with 420 grams of charas. Vehicle seized as well. FIR 136/2022 in NDPS act registered in PS Nigeen. Both are notorious drug peddlers & brother of this lady is already detained in PSA for same.”
