According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the residents—both men and women assembled on the road and blocked it to press for their demands.

They said that from the past five days, they are facing immense hardships in absence of the drinking water supply in their area. “The water supply pipeline got blocked 5 days back. The officials from Jal Shakti department came today and tried to fix the issues. However, the employees of Roads and Building (R&B) department didn’t allow them to dig the road to repair the pipeline,” a protesting woman from the locality said.
