Parents whose wards are enrolled in the school while complaining about the issue told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the school has only two room for teaching eight classes, which speaks volumes about the standard of education in government-run schools.

They claimed that they have informed the concerned authorities but nothing has happened on the ground so far. “Even some students are being taught in the office room which itself indicates the lack of basic infrastructure and proper accommodation in the institution, ” Abdul Majeed Rather, a local said.

“Besides, the school has only few teachers which too is the matter of concern while it also doesn’t have a playground. The government as well as the local administration has turned a blind eye towards our sufferings,” Athar, a student said.

The students and parents appealed to higher authorities to provide them additional space and mitigate their sufferings. Meanwhile, an official said that the issue has come to his notice and assured that some steps would be taken within shortest span of time to mitigate suffering of the students.
