HDFC Bank’s cash-filled ATM stolen in South Kashmir’s Qazigund

(Asian News Hub) – A private bank Automated Teller Machine (ATM) carrying Rs 4.5 lakh was stolen in Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, Kashmir News Trust reported quoting official sources.

Quoting sources they said that some miscreants barged into the HDFC Bank ATM located near Petrol Pump in Qazigund. The burglars took away the machine along with the cash.

They added that there was no security guard present at the ATM at the time of the incident.

“There were approximately Rs 4.5 lakh in the ATM,” said a bank employee on condition of anonymity.

Police have taken cognizance of the theft incident and started an investigation.
