(Asian News Hub) – The National Health Mission (NHM) contractual employees on Saturday staged a protest against their termination at Press Enclave Srinagar, demanding continued services of the terminated employees.

Talking to a news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), President of NHM ECRP Shahid Bashir said, “We are the same employees who worked and put our lives at risk when Covid-19 hit the country in year 2019, 2020, and 2021, instead of utilising experienced health employees, the government is using people from the educational department for it”.

He added: “Government has issued an order before 3 months for extending our disengagement for more than 3 months but instead of extending our services we are being disengaged from our services.”
