(Asian News Hub) – An assistant sub inspector of Police who was shot at by unknown gunmen in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district on Wednesday evening, succumbed on way to hospital, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that an ASI of Jammu and Kashmir police was shot at by suspected militants near SDH Bijbehara on Wednesday evening. He was shifted to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The slain has been identified as ASI identified as Muhammad Ashraf of Awantipora had received four bullet injuries.
