Srinagar, March 30 (ANH): At least nine shops and a residential house were damaged in twin fire incidents at Gadyar area of Zaina Kadal and Rajouri Kadal areas of Srinagar.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the fire broke out at Gadyar Zainakadal at around 01 am in the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.
In the incident, nine shops were gutted completely, the traders said, adding that the losses worth crores have been suffered by the affected shopkeepers.
Meanwhile, locals said the firemen arrived on time and doused the flames.
Nonetheless, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident and the cause of the fire is being ascertained.

Meanwhile, a residential house was damaged in a fire incident at Rajouri kadal area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening.
Official sources told KNO that the fire broke out in a residential house at Rajouri Kadal opposite Islamia Higher Secondary School.
They said that the fire tenders have reached the spot and are dousing the flames.
Meanwhile, the cause of fire was not known immediately.
