An official told that the accident occurred after the driver of one of the buses reportedly lost control due to a brake failure, leading to a chain collision involving three other buses in the convoy.

36 pilgrims were injured in the accident. All the injured pilgrims were shifted to District Hospital Ramban for medical treatment. Rescue teams from the police and health department responded promptly to the scene.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Ilyas Khan, visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the injured pilgrims.
