Shopian, May 4: A three-year-old girl drowned after slipping into a stream in the Zainapora area of Shopian on Monday, officials said.
The child has been identified as Shaziya, daughter of Mumtaz Ahmad, a resident of Rajouri, currently staying at Chidipora Zainapora.

Officials said the minor slipped into the Reshi Ladi nallah, following which a search and rescue operation was launched.
Teams from local authorities and volunteers are carrying out efforts to trace the body.
