Srinagar police on Saturday said to have arrested three thugs for cheating an old woman by changing her gold earrings with artificial one in Hazratbal.

They identified the accused as Shamas Din Beigh of Kupwara, Irfan Ahmad Beigh of kawari Kupwara, and Fayaz Ahmed Shah of Habbakadal. Case under relevant sections of law registered at Nigeen police station.
Srinagar police in a tweet said, “Three (3) thugs namely: 1) Shamas Din Beig of Kupwara 2) irfan Ahmad Beig of kawari Kupwara 3) Fayaz Ahmed Shah of Habbakadal arrested for deceiving /cheating an old woman at Hazratbal Dargah by changing her golden ear rings with artificial ones. FIR registered in Nigeen PS.”
