(Asian News Hub) – A 27-year-old youth drowned to death in river Jhelum at Sheikhpora Sonwar here on Tuesday.
Official sources told the news agency–Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Marif Ahmad, 27 from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was extracting sand from river Jhelum at Sheikhpora Sonwar.

They said the youth got slipped and subsequently drowned in Jhelum, adding that his body was fished out by River Police with the help of locals.
