Baramulla, Feb 21: A 31-year-old disabled man died of suffocation after a massive fire engulfed a double-story residential house in Binnar Janbazpora area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district this morning.
Quoting an official news agency JKNS reported that the fire broke out at around 4:31 AM, rapidly spreading through the house.
They said in the incident, a 31-year-old disabled man, identified as Zubair Siraj, son of Mohammad Siraj, succumbed to suffocation before the arrival of the fire and emergency services.

His body was later recovered from the attic by fire service personnel, the official said, adding that authorities have taken cognizance of the incident.
