Srinagar, Feb 10: A massive fire broke out in the Noorbagh area of Srinagar, leaving five residential houses damaged and several families displaced. The incident, which occurred this morning, prompted an immediate response from the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES).
During the operation, the incharge of F&ES Safakadal sustained injuries after allegedly being assaulted by locals at the scene. The reason behind the attack remains unclear, but sources indicate tensions flared amid rescue efforts.
Firefighters, with the help of local volunteers, managed to bring the flames under control, preventing further damage.

Five residential structures, including a three-story house and four single-story houses, were damaged in a fire incident in Noorbagh, Srinagar.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident and cause of fire was not known immediately.
