Srinagar, Jan 15: The Srinagar Police have detained six individuals under sections 126 and 170 of the BNSS Act for allegedly inciting sectarian unrest through derogatory remarks. The accused have been lodged at Central Jail, Srinagar.
In a stern message to the public, the Srinagar Police have warned that anyone found engaging in similar unlawful activities, including sharing or posting sectarian content with the intent to cause division or disturb public harmony, will face strict legal action.
“We are monitoring all activities closely,” a police spokesperson stated. “Those attempting to disrupt peace and harmony in the region will face consequences.”

The authorities have urged citizens to act responsibly on social media platforms and report any such content or activities to ensure a peaceful environment in Srinagar.
