Srinagar, Jan 04: A massive fire broke out late Saturday evening in a two-storey residential-cum-commercial building in Rajouri Kadal, Srinagar, causing significant damage to the structure and partially damaging multiple shops.
The building housed 10 shops on the ground floor, with the first floor and attic serving as residential space. According to F&ES official, the first floor and attic were completely destroyed in the blaze, while the shops sustained minor damage.

During the firefighting operation, two firefighters sustained minor injuries and were shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel managed to bring the fire under control after a prolonged operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
