Srinagar, Dec 19: The cold wave has tightened its grip across Kashmir with majority of the areas recording the season’s coldest night including Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the details Srinagar has recorded the season’s lowest temperature at minus 6 degree Celsius, marking the coldest night here while Shopian was the coldest place at minus 10.2 degree Celsius.
Furthermore, Qazigund, a gateway of Kashmir was the second coldest place, where the mercury settled at minus 9.8 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile Metrological Department here has sounded a yellow warning for isolated regions, saying that the cold wave conditions would prevail until December 23.
The warning has been issued for the isolated places of both the regions including Jammu as well as Kashmir.
