New Delhi, Dec 26: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) confirms the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India, at the age of 92.
Dr. Rima Dada, Incharge of the Media Cell at AIIMS, in a statement said that Dr. Singh was undergoing treatment for age-related medical conditions when he experienced a sudden loss of consciousness at home earlier today.
Emergency medical measures were initiated immediately at his residence. He was transported to AIIMS, New Delhi, and admitted to the emergency ward at 8:06 PM. Despite sustained efforts by the medical team, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9:51 PM, the statement reads.
