Ramban, Dec 30: The body of a man from Srinagar, who had been missing since December 22 while traveling to Jammu, was retrieved from a gorge in Digdool, Ramban, this evening.
Reports said that Umar Yaseen Shah, a resident of Railway Colony Nowgam, Srinagar, lost his life in a tragic accident when his Thar vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in Digdool, Ramban, while he was on his way to Jammu.
They stated that his body was recovered from the gorge this evening. He had been missing since December 22 while traveling to Jammu.
Police, SDRF, and the Quick Response Team (QRT) of Ramban were deployed to the scene for the rescue operation.
Meanwhile, one of his family members confirmed his tragic death to ANH.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
