Srinagar, Dec 09: The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) celebrated International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9 with the theme, “Uniting the Youth Against Corruption, Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity.” The day was observed across Srinagar and its adjoining districts, Ganderbal and Budgam, with events at six locations, including colleges and universities.
The main event took place at SP College, Srinagar, where SSP ACB Srinagar, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Wani, presided over the function alongside SP College Principal, Dr. Mohd Farooq Mir. Faculty members and a large gathering of students actively participated in the event.
Other events were organized at Government Degree Colleges in Khansahab, Beerwah, Ganderbal, and Women’s College, Srinagar. At these venues, ACB officers and faculty members highlighted the significance of anti-corruption efforts and engaged in discussions about the importance of integrity and accountability.

A debate competition on the day’s theme was also held, with students and guest speakers from participating institutions sharing their insights. The participants were honored with commendation certificates and mementos for their contributions.
The events concluded with votes of thanks exchanged between the heads of institutions and ACB officers, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in fostering a corruption-free society.
