Srinagar, July 26: The body of a boy who drowned in the river Jhelum while taking a bath in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday has been recovered.
Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that the boy, identified as Hazim Nasir, son of Nisar Ahmad Dar and a resident of Jalsheeri, drowned while bathing in the river Jhelum in Old Town Baramulla.
They said that soon after the incident, police and SDRF reached the spot and efforts were undertaken to retrieve the body. After strenuous efforts, the body was recovered on Friday.

Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation.
