Srinagar June 27: Two women died in a road accident in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district this evening.

Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that an accident took place at Gagangeer Sonamarg, when a Tata Mobile bearing regd. No. JK01AS/4824 hit and injured two pedestrians and left them critically injured.

They said that ladies identified as Zareefa wife of Nisar Ahmad Mir and Sabreena wife Ajaz Ahmad Bhat both residents of Gagangeer were brought to PHC Kullan Gund Ganderbal for treatment where doctors declared both of them dead.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.
