Srinagar, May 15: A minor boy lost his life after he drowned in a water canal in his native village of Inderkoot area of Sumbal in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday.
Quoting an official news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that a 7-year-old boy identified as Suhail Ahmad, son of Zulafkar Dar, a resident of Bun Mohalla Inderkoot Sumbal, drowned in a canal.
However, after the hectic efforts of locals, the body was retrieved from the canal and was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of this incident.
