Srinagar boat tragedy: Body recovered, two still missing

Srinagar, April 26: Body of one among three persons who were missing for the last eleven days has been recovered from river Jhelum this evening near zero bridge Rajbagh area of Srinagar.

On 16 April, a boat drowned along with 15 people on board who were crossing the river Jehlum from Gandbal to Batwara in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

In the incident six people were rescued, six died of drowing and three were missing.

Since then a massive search operation was launched by SDRF, Army, River Police Srinagar and locals to find bodies of three missing persons was going on, however, this evening a body of one person has been found while two bodies are still missing.
