Budgam, Feb 15: Following the shocking discovery of lifeless body in an open field in magam on Wednesday, Budgam Police have made swift progress in the investigation. The deceased, identified as (name withheld) from Drung Tangmarg, left behind a suicide note alleging the involvement of a local youth in her decision to take her own life.

The youth implicated in the note has been arrested by authorities, marking a crucial development in the case. Preliminary findings indicate that the tragic incident may be a result of a poisoning-related suicide, abetted by the alleged affair and subsequent denial of marriage.

The police have officially registered a case, FIR No. 18/2024 under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), at Police Station Magam.
