Kulgam, Jan 03: Gunfight has started between militants and joint team of security forces in Adigam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district this evening.
Quoting a top police officer, news agency Kashmir scroll reported that a joint team of Police and Army had launched a cordon and search operation in Adigam Kulgam
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, they said.

Meanwhile Kashmir Zone Police on X said, “Encounter has started at Hadigam area of Kulgam district. Kulgam Police, Army and crpf are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
