Sopore, Dec 27: In a bid to ensure road safety measures, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore has asked the fuel station owners to ensure the two-wheeler riders, who are found without crash helmets, must not be given petrol.

The Addl DC, SA Raina has convened a meeting with petrol filling station owners, stressing the critical role they play in reinforcing helmet usage and road safety, says it’s a collective responsibility of both administration as well as citizens to ensure road safety.

“Ensuring the safety of our citizens is of paramount importance and wearing helmets is a simple yet effective practice that significantly reduces the severity of head injuries in case of accidents — which risks the lives of pedestrians as well,” Raina said.
