Meet Insha Manzoor, first female photographer from Sopore

Insha Manzoor [21] currently working with JB Studio. Insha is pursuing BBA from Baramulla College and resides in Sopore and completed her 12th grade from Welkin Sopore.

Insha developed an interest in photography since the 8th grade, initially using an Android phone for school and nature photography. She actively participated in photography contests, winning accolades. Insha’s parents, especially her sister, provided her significant support. After completing her Bachelor’s, Insha aspires to pursue filmmaking.

Currently, Insha continues her photography using a phone, showcasing her talent on Instagram. Her reels have garnered millions of views, and she has amassed 6,500 followers on Instagram. Insha, a humble individual, promotes north Kashmir through her talents. Insha expresses her determination to continue this work, shining a light on her parents and the entire Kashmir region.

Insha’s message to upcoming photographers is that one can turn photography into a fulfilling profession.

Insha attributes her success to her mentor, Junaid Bhat Photographer, Kashmir Based Photojournalist, acknowledging him as her guide who played a crucial role in her learning journey. Insha Manzoor is not just a photographer; she’s a visionary capturing the essence of Sopore through her lens, breaking stereotypesand pavingthe way for aspiring photographers in the region.
