Srinagar, Dec 29: An elderly man who was missing since Thursday morning was killed in a hit-and-run case in Nowgam area of Srinagar outskirts.
Reports said that an elderly man identified as Ghulam Rasool Sofi resident of Ganderpora Iddgah Srinagar, went missing from his residence on Thursday morning.
They said after the incident, a missing report was lodged in Safakadal police station.

However, police party of Nowgam police station found a body near tengan crossing this morning.
After preliminary investigations, an official said that the deceased was run over by an unidentified vehicle during intervening night.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard.
