A Special Police Officer (SPO) who went missing from his home in Duroo village of Sopore on Wednesday was traced by Sopore Police in Srinagar, official said.

An official told Asian News Hub (ANH), SPO identified as Tahir Ahmad Dar had gone missing on Wednesday morning from his residence in Sopore, was on leave, and has been struggling with depression.
The father of missing SPO had filed a missing report with Sopore Police Station on October 26. Acting on the report, a special team was constituted by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sopore, Shabir Nawab, he said.
He said, after strenuous efforts, missing SPO was traced out from Srinagar by SHO Sopore under the Supervision of SDPO Sopore.
The official added that the SPO will be handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
The family expressed their gratitude to the police for their prompt response and trenuous efforts.
