DC Srinagar finalises arrangements for smooth conduct of JKSSRB exams

Over 5000 candidates appearing in examination at various designated centers in District

In connection with the JKSSRB OMR based written examination scheduled to be held in the month of September and October 2023, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner discussed 0threadbare the arrangements to be put in place for the smooth conduct of the SSB forthcoming examination.

The examination is being held at various centers in the District in which over 5000 candidates are appearing.

During the meeting police department was directed to ensure adequate deployment of Police personnel.

Similarly, Traffic Department to ensure proper traffic arrangements in and around the designated examination centres.

While proper Escort be provided to the JKSSB for transportation of material to the exam centres through  the Vehicles of RTO for transport of the material.

Likewise, PDD was asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the Centers.

During the meeting, it was decided that section 144 Crpc shall be imposed around the examination centres.

While supervisors and duty magistrates were also deployed to ensure smooth and hassle free conduct of examination.

10 held for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jama Masjid after Friday prayers: Police

Srinagar police on Saturday said that they have arrested ten persons for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jama Masjid in Nowhatta after Friday prayers.

They said that they will be booked under relevant sections of law.

Srinagar police on X informed, “10 Hooligans arrested for trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere outside Jamia Masjid Yesterday after friday prayers. They shall be booked under relevant section of law. Public is requested not to indulge in such acts failing which law will take its own course.”

Mason falls from rooftop of house in Bijbehera, dies

A mason died after he fell down from a rooftop of a house in Zirpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.

An official told that Nazir Ahmad Ganai son of Abdul Salam Ganai of Zirpora was doing some work on the roof of the house when he slipped and fell down.

Biker killed in Anantnag road accident

A biker has died in a road mishap in Ranipora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

An official told that a motorcyclist, identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Kuchay, lost control of his bike and skidded off the road, resulting in his death.
