According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Honesti de La Torre, 37, is accused of endangering children.
Around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, deputies were called to an unincorporated region of Rialto, which is 55 miles east of Los Angeles.
They discovered the child was drunk when they got there, according to the officials.
According to officials, de la Torre stopped while driving through Rialto to feed the infant alcohol in an effort to silence the sobbing.
The child then became intoxicated. However, the condition of the child was not revealed.
De la Torre is being held in the West Valley Detention Center on a $60,000 bond.
