Srinagar police on Thursday said to have arrested a man resident of Kupwara at present Pamposh colony for raping a minor girl.

They said that the accused is a relative of victim girl, case under FIR no 92/2023 U/S 352,376,506 IPC & 3/4 POCSO act in PS safakadal.
Srinagar police in a tweet said,”One Mohd Iqbal Sheikh (46 years) S/o Ghulam Qadir Sheikh R/o Kanthpora, Sogam Kupwara presently staying in Pamposh Colony, Srinagar arrested for raping a minor 15 year old girl. The accused is relative of child. FIR no 92/2023 U/S 352,376,506 IPC & 3/4 POCSO act in PS safakadal.”
