A teenage boy slipped to death in flood channel in Tengpora area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday.

Quoting an official news agency—Kashmir News Observer reportedthat the boy, 19, slipped into the flood channel near Tengpora.
They said soon after the incident a police team along with locals launched a rescue operation.
“Despite hectic efforts the boy couldn’t be saved and later his body was retrieved from the channel,” they said.
He has been identified as Masood Ahmad Kalas (18) son of Muzamil Kalas of Poshkar Kangan.
“After medico-legal formalities, body will be handed over to his family,” they said.
