After the rage incident between the husband-wife duo, a man from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district planned to attempt suicide, however, murdered his seven-year-old daughter brazenly and has been arrested by Police, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Yougal Manhas said on Monday.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara while talking to Asian News Hub (ANH), said that in a case related to the murder of a seven-year-old girl in Kupwara, police have successfully cracked the case by arresting the accused father, involved in the act.
He said that the incident has taken place out of rage as the parents of the minor girl had some quarrel following which the father tried to end his life but the daughter accompanied her when he came out of his home.
“The father first strangled her daughter to death and slit her throat as well,” he said, adding that the father along with other family members later approached police and filed the missing report in this regard.

However, he said after questioning, the father confessed his crime and has been arrested by the police.
