At least seven shops were gutted in a fire incident in Maisuma area of Srinagar city on Friday incurring massive losses to the shopkeepers.

Reports reaching Asian News Hub (ANH) said that fire broke out in a shopping complex owned by Khurshid Ahmed Dar in which six shops were gutted completely while one shop suffered partial damage.
They said, firemen arrived on time and tried to douse the flames, however, by the time they arrived, the shops had already been engulfed in flames.
“The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,” however, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident, they said.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
