This came after Rohit Sharma and Co’s win over the Aussies in the Nagpur Test by an innings and 132 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the first Test.

However, in an interesting turn of events, a change was made to the rankings and Australia were restored to the top with 126 rating points. India are currently second on the list with 115 rating points.

In a statement, as quoted by PTI, the cricket governing body has now acknowledged the technical error and apologized for the inconvenience caused by the confusion.
