SIU of Srinagar Police conduct raids in Soura area
Srinagar, Oct 08: Continuing its crackdown against elements involved in unlawful activities, SIU-1 of Srinagar Police conducted searches in the houses of suspected persons in the interiors of Anchar and Ghat area of Soura here today.
The search operation was conducted in connection to the investigation of case FIR No 50/2022 u/s 307,302 IPC ,7/25 A act and 16 18 20 UL(P) Act of Police Station Soura.
After obtaining a search warrant from an honorable court, searches were conducted in the interiors of Achar Soura with the support of different district police units and in presence of executive Magistrate and independent witnesses. Proper SOPs and necessary investigation procedures were followed during the search.
Also visits BB Cantt Hospital to enquire about injured Police official
The Director General of Police, J&K, R R Swain paid a solemn visit to the home of the martyr Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani in Srinagar this evening and expressed deep condolences and shared grief with the bereaved family.
DGP was accompanied by ADGP Law and Order Vijay Kumar, IG Kashmir V. K. Birdi and other officers to share the grief of the family, according to statement issued to Asian News Hub.
The DGP met the father and other members of the family and conveyed that J&K Police family will remember the supreme sacrifice of the martyr for decades to come. He assured that the institutional strength of J&K Police will take care of the family.
The DGP J&K conveyed the unwavering support and gratitude of the entire law enforcement community for the ultimate sacrifice made by the martyr.
He alongwith the officers prayed for the peace of martyr.
R R Swain along with other officers also visited Military Hospital BB Cantt. Srinagar to enquire about the health of the injured Police Selection Grade Constable Mohammad Hafeez who was fired upon by terrorist yesterday evening on his right arm and right side abdomen.
The DGP met the doctors treating the official and impressed for all possible treatment for his early recovery. He assured the injured that all possible help and assistance will be provided.
A government teacher died of suspected cardiac arrest while dispensing duties during JKSSB’s Panchayat Secretary examination in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.
Quoting officials news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Khaliq Dar, a resident of Nanil, posted at Boys Middle School Muniwar Anantnag, fell unconscious while on duty at Al-Sarwat School Krangsoo.

The teacher was immediately taken to DH Anantnag, where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival.

Insha’s message to upcoming photographers is that one can turn photography into a fulfilling profession.
Insha attributes her success to her mentor, Junaid Bhat Photographer, Kashmir Based Photojournalist, acknowledging him as her guide who played a crucial role in her learning journey. Insha Manzoor is not just a photographer; she’s a visionary capturing the essence of Sopore through her lens, breaking stereotypesand pavingthe way for aspiring photographers in the region.
