Chittoor, Aug 01: In a shocking incident reported from Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, a father allegedly killed his son-in-law by slitting his throat over harassment of his daughter on Saturday.

The accused in the case has beein identified as Yousuf Khan and the victim as Sai Baba, Sai tied the knot with Khan’s daughter, identified as Hasina, ten years ago and was an inter-caste marraige.

The horrifying incident happened at Sankaraiah Gunta. Yousuf Khan allegedly slit the victim’s throat for harassing Hasina for the past many years. Hasani had been living at her parents house after Sai assaulted her.

On Saturday, Sai Baba went to get back Hasina from her parent’s house in an inebriated condition and an altercation between the family and Sai flared up. The argument intensified and Khan attacked him.

A case has been lodged against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC and further investigation into the matter is underway.

In another incident coming in from Hyderabad’s Madhapur area, A man was killed and another was injured in an open fire on Monday. Three unidentified miscreants used a revolver to murder a man named Ismail over a property dispute.

Another man, identified as Jahangir was also injured in the incident and is receiving treatment. In the meantime, Ismail’s dead body was sent to Osmania Hospital for an autopsy.

All three accused ran away from the crime spot after shooting the deceased.

The altercation evidently took place over a property, as maintained by the police. The case is being investigated.

A search team has been set up in order to trace and arrest the accused, identified as Mujahid, Jilani and Bilal.
