Udhampur, Aug 20: Two kids were killed after two houses collapsed amid rains in Samole village in Muttal area of Udhampur district, GNS reported quoting officials.

They said soon after getting the informing early morning, rescue teams rushed to the spot and recovered the dead bodies from the debris of one of the collapsed houses.
Also 12 other persons were rescued from the houses and shifted to hospital.

SSP Udhampur Dr Vinod Kumar confirmed to GNS that two kids died in the incident and their bodies were rescued.
The kids have been identified as Arif and Gani , aged 3 and 2 years respectively. Locals said that police team led by in-charge police post Tikri PSI Abdul Satar carried out the swift rescue operation.
