Srinagar, June 06: One Foreign militant of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) was killed in a gunfight that broke out in Panipora forest area of Zaloora, PD Sopore this evening.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar said that one militant identified as Hanzalla resident of Lahore, Pakistan associated with LeT was killed in a gunfight.

He said during intial exchange of firing two Pakistani militants and a local militant escaped, hunt for them is on.

Quoting Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “SoporeEncounterUpdate: 01 Pakistani terrorist affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT killed. Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition recovered. 2 FTs and one local terrorist escaped from cordon. Search going on. Further details shall follow”

“SoporeEncounterUpdate: As per the documents recovered from the killed Pakistani terrorist, he has been identified as Hanzalla of Lahore, Pakistan. One AK rifle, 05 magazines along with ammunition has been recovered. Further details shall follow,” tweeted Kashmir Zone Police on behalf of Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar.
