(Asian News Hub) – Robbers on Friday smeared chilli powder into the eyes of a man and robbed him of Rs 37,500 in Frisal area of Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official sources told the news agency—KNO, that one Ghulam Mohammed Bhat son of Mohammad Ismail Bhat from Charmarg area of Shopian, was at Frisal J&K Bank branch for withdrawal of money.
They said that after the withdrawal of amount 37,500 the man was on way to home and at an abandoned place unknown persons looted all his amount after smearing chilly powder into his eyes.
Meanwhile, a Police official said that one person has been taken into custody.
He said that a formal FIR vide number 07/2021 under section 382 IPC has been registered at Police Post Frisal and further investigation has been set into motion.
