Srinagar police on Thursday evening said to have arrested two notorious thieves who were active in downtown area of Srinagar, huge quantity of stolen material recovered from them.

They said that CCTV footage and leads by shopkeepers helped in their arrest and have been identified as Farooq Peer of Kupwara and Mukhtar Bhat of Zainakadal.
Srinagar police in a tweet said, “Srinagar Police arrested two notorious thieves namely Farooq Peer of Kupwara & Mukhtar Bhat of Zainakadal. CCTV footage & leads by shopkeepers helped in their arrest. These thieves were active in Downtown area of Srinagar. Huge quantity of stolen material recovered from them.”
